25000 Big Mac…

A retired prison guard ate his 25,000th Big Mac on Tuesday, 39 years to the day after eating his first … nine.

Don Gorske was honored after reaching the meaty milestone during a ceremony at a McDonald’s in his hometown of Fond du Lac. Surely McDonald’s most loyal customer, Guinness World Records recognized Gorske’s feat three years and 2,000 Big Macs ago, and the 57-year-old says he has no desire to stop.

“I plan on eating Big Macs until I die,” he said. “I have no intentions of changing. It’s still my favorite food. Nothing has changed in 39 years. I look forward to it every day.”

The sign beneath the golden arches Tuesday read “Congrats Don Gorske 25000 Big Macs.”

Before he ate No. 25,000, he showed dozens of onlookers many of the different styles of cartons he has collected over the years and other Big Mac-related stories.

Before biting into the sandwich, he said, “It’s been seven years since 20,000. Same thing goes this year folks. You can’t have the carton and it probably still takes 16 bites for me to finish a Big Mac.”

Judgement Day …May 21st?

Well it seems that the Americans are taking it seriously regarding judgement day happening this saturday on May 21st.

Why do some humans have a fixation on the world coming to an end?

From ancient Nostradamus to Marshall Applewhite of Heaven’s Gate fame, there have been a myriad of ultimately failed predictions that the world will meet its demise. The latest prediction comes from Harold Camping, a preacher from California who says the Second Coming of Jesus will occur conveniently at 6 pm local time for each time zone around the world coming up this weekend, on May 21, 2011. While he claims to have used math to predict this event, perhaps a better use of math would be to count how many times soothsayers and doomsday con artists have incorrectly predicted the end of the world in the past. So far they have all been 100% wrong. Camping himself is guilty of incorrectly predicting the end of the world back in 1994, so his track record is not very good either. So if you’re wondering – mathematically speaking — based on the number of past predictions of the end of the world being right, and the number of past predictions of Camping about the end of the world being right, the odds of Camping being wrong this time are 100%.

So sleep well, and enjoy your weekend!

PMP Certification…

I’ve been a week in a training course which is PMP. What is PMP ?

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is the highest and most important professional certification internationally recognized in project management area. This Certificate is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI®), and proves that its holders have the essential project management capabilities and skills. The PMP designation is attained after passing the PMI approved test successfully. The test requires studying the approved curricula through a PMI certified training center. Global Consultants is one of the PMI certified training centers.

Tomorrow is my last day and hopefully I’ll apply for the test within this year. I just want to highlight the importance of such courses that will help you in your career path. So if you’re in a work place that conduct so many training programs go for the one that suits your job or any new domain you would like to know about.

There’s no limit for learning ..sky is your limit!
