Miss Australia 2012…Lebanese beauty!

Jessica Kahawaty has been crowned Miss Australia 2012, the second Lebanese after Nicole Ghazal. Both of them had participated in Miss Lebanon before attempting their luck at Miss Australia and both of them were deemed good enough to be runner ups only.She said: ”I had so much adrenaline and thought: ‘I’m going to do it even if it doesn’t sound so good. ‘I took off my cast despite the doctor’s orders.”

Kahawaty, competing against 24 other beauties, was crowned Miss World Australia at a ceremony at Uluru last night.
The contestants raised $52,000 for Lilla, an indigenous community.Organisers chose Uluru to show Australia’s indigenous heritage to the world.
Kahawaty, a law student, holds beauty pagent titles in Australia and Lebanon.

New face for Gucci…

Gucci has a new royal face. Charlotte Casiraghi, the 25-year-old daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco and granddaughter of actress Grace Kelly, has been cast as the Italian fashion house’s latest ambassador, reports Vanity Fair. She will appear in a four-part series of ads, part of Gucci’s Forever Now campaign, which kicked off in last year to mark the brand’s 90th anniversary. Some of the shots will find Casiraghi donning equestrian-themed clothing, a fitting choice for the horsewoman.
