MDNA ranks Nb.1…

Controversial pop icon Madonna has added another feather on her cap by topping this year’s list of highest-grossing concert tours. According to Billboard, her world tour brought in the most money this year, reaching an incredible $242 million in revenues, besting rock and roll legend Bruce Springsteen’s total of $198 million from his “The Wrecking Ball” tour with The E Street Band.

Madonna handily beat her younger contemporary, the equally-controversial Lady GaGa, who only managed to secure the no. 6 spot with $124 million from her “Born This Way Ball” tour. The notorious Material Girl is consistently in the headlines by making controversial stunts in her shows, like brandishing a gun onstage in Denver only shortly after the Colorado shooting during “The Dark Knight Rises” movie premiere, and handing out pink anti-homophobia wristbands to Russian fans.

With seventy more shows still lined up and potentially $450 million in total earnings, the “MDNA” tour may end-up as the all-time highest-grossing live act. The record is currently held by Irish rock band U2 for their “360 Degrees” tour which grossed a whopping $736 million from a total of 110 shows.

Madonna dancing on gangnam style…

Madonna knows how to spice up her concerts in every way. While performing in New York she brought PSY the famous Korean singer and now worldwide with this gangnam style video that has more than 600 million views on youtube. The Queen danced with PSY gangnam style which made the audience go wild.

2.5 million dollars bra…

Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio hit the catwalk for the brand’s annual show to display a gem-studded bra worth a staggering 2.5 million dollars. Re-designed every year, for the 2012 show the Fantasy Bra was covered in intricate flowers made out of a massive 5,200 precious and semi-precious stones. The gems include amethysts, sapphires, rubies and white, pink and yellow diamonds.

And, like all good outfits, it of course has a matching accessory, a jewel-encrusted belt.

James Bond 007…Skyfall

I had the chance to watch the new James Bond movie ” Skyfall” which is shown exclusively at Grand Cinemas in Al Hamra Mall.

I really liked the film, superb acting, amazing scenery and casting. I would see it again for sure!
