Goodbye YSL…

I knew last night that the fashion icon Yves Saint Laurent died suffering from chronic illness. He was 71. YSL dedicated a lot to the fashion industry throughout his years. He contributed to the evolution of modern women through fashion. He died just after a week of the opening of an exhibition named after him at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

In 2002, Yves Saint Laurent retired from haute couture 40 years after the start of his career in 1962. He then decided to create the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent with his long-time companion and business partner, Pierre Bergé. The foundation’s goal is to contribute to the development of the fashion industry by providing training and grants to young, promising talents and to offer financial support to the cultural sector.

The Laurent-Perrier Group announced the appointment of Stephane Tsassis as deputy general manager of the group. Tsassis managed several perfume and luxury products such as Jean Pail Gaultier, Issey Miyake, and others and till now he is the GM of Guerlain .

Well I guess that Mom will buy more of YSL …she’s so addicted to them!!
