The fashion world is abuzz with rumours that the Material Girl will be the fashion house’s spring/summer ’09 face for LV.
Although she is known to pick her endorsements carefully, Madonna is no stranger to advertising campaigns. She has starred in ads for Gap,Versace, H&M and Max Factor in recent years.
After attending one of Madonna’s ‘Sticky & Sweet’ shows, designer Marc Jacobs, who is also behind the latest Louis Vuitton collection, asked Madonna if she’d like to take part in this new adventure. “I’d love to” answered the one and only Material Girl.
Asked about the concept behind the campaign, Jacobs explains that he wanted for it to “be very bold, very sensual and very atmospheric. To carry this off, we needed the ultimate performer – and for me, that is Madonna”.
